My name is Kathleen Alfano and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! 1st grade is such an exciting year! I recently graduated from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) with a degree in Elementary Education. I was placed at Cottondale during my Junior year and absolutely fell in love with the students and the school so I am so excited to be back teaching here! I am originally from Acworth, Georgia which is where my parents still reside. Acworth is a suburb of Atlanta, located about 45 minutes north of the city. I loved growing up in Acworth and loved living near Atlanta (Go Braves!). I have three sisters, a brother in law, and a 1 1/2 year old nephew (Luke) and a new niece (Aubrey) who was born in June. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, going to the lake, attending BAMA football games, watching basbeball, and doing anything outdoors.
